New OSHA Ruling for Fall Protection:
Summary:
Workers engaged in residential construction six (6) feet or more over a lower level generally must be protected by conventional fall protection (guardrails, safety nets, or personal fall arrest systems).
Those Affected:
The standard applies to all engaged in residential construction work (home/dwelling being built with traditional wood frame construction materials & methods). This includes structural steel and/or metal studs in a predominately wood framed house.
